Storyteller

FOr me, Word- has always been the Genesis of all things.

It is the very thought and blueprint to all that is artistically tangible.

From the very first moment I sat in my bedroom exorcising emotion within a journal during my parent's divorce in 2nd grade, to the moment i discovered poetry could be found interwoven on Lauryn Hill's "Miseducation" album.

Word is limitless. Boundless. 

When i'm not talking to students in classrooms about my "Coming out" story in hopes to transmit courage,

I'm writing a poem,song, or penning an article about a local hero.

My work is a reflection of the power of word through several mediums. 

I believe that now, more than ever, sharing our truth and telling our stories,is definition of freedom.

Being yourself in a world that encourages you not to be, is a direct form of Activism.
