Who is Skye Cabrera?

Skye Cabrera is a Bronx Born artist who utilizes several mediums such as Poetry, LIVE Spoken Word performance and Music . Since 2009 she has performed on stages such as Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, The Brooklyn Historical Society,Bronx Museum and more. 

She published her first book "Music For Caterpillars" in 2011 and is currently editing her second book, " Meet me at the Cube"

In 2013 her spoken word video "When a Woman Speaks" was featured by Madonna for the Art for Freedom project.

Currently,Skye is a pivotal voice for the speakers' panel called Queer Voices. A collective from Sacramento County's LGBTQ center, sharing her message of radical self acceptance to middle schoolers and collegiate classrooms of UC Davis and more.

When she is not featuring musicians through reviews for the weekly publication SN&R,she is collaborating with them to master the lyrics to a song or running a women's writing workshop on any given Sunday.
